Senior Design Project: Speed Machine II December 2015 – April 2016 Develop a machine to train professional athletes using assisted speed training and could be controlled using Bluetooth signal and a downloadable app. Used design and data from previous version to improve system. Used of electrical and mechanical engineers to improve frame, circuitry, motors, programming, and electronic sensors. Performed function test, analyzed Arduino code, data gathering, and soldering. All new components and circuit soldering allowed team to compress the circuitry into more streamlined board with no ribbon wire. Summer Abroad: Hosei University, Tokyo Japan July 7 – July 28 of 2014 Studied and practiced Japanese language, grammar, history, and culture. Encouraged and given assignments to explore Japan and interact with locals. Saw different areas around Tokyo such as Shinjuku, Harajuku, Asakusa, Akihabara, Odaiba, and Kamakura. (SPE), Ion Beam Deposition (IBD), Ion Beam Etching (IBE), Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD), Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD), shutters, shielding, compressors, cathodes, targets, and other deposition, etching, and vacuum tools. Troubleshoot and perform overhauls on cryo-pumps, cryo-traps, turbo pumps, mechanical pumps, vacuum leaks, wafer transfer robot, and electrical failure.
