Objective
Seeking an internship within the power industry where I can execute my course work and apply it in a business setting.
Education
Bachelor of Science, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, California State University, Sacramento – Dec 2018. GPA:3.081
Courses Taken:
Power System analysis, Power analysis lab, Smart Grids, Feedback systems, and upcoming Power Distribution and Relay protection
Skills & Abilities
Software: Matlab, Simulink, Pspice, Advance Design System, ACDC power flow, Microsoft office, ETAP
Programming: Verilog, C, C++
Relevant skills: Excellent troubleshooting skills in power flow analysis, circuit simulators, fault analysis, and in progress of learning more.
Communication: Excellent at communicating with project teams, also being able to explain complicated concepts to peers that have problems math, power, or circuit related courses.
Projects & Experiences
Power System Lab Analysis:
Familiarized myself with a small scale power lab that resembles a substation providing power to loads using battery chargers, DC voltages, AC voltages, bus locations, switches, circuit breakers, and relay coordination.
Microprocessors:
Working with a group of four, we designed an autonomous GPS robot. Utilizing modules and components, we were able to send coordinates for the device to travel.
Controls and Feedback Systems:
Designed a PID controller that will have an external disturbance to our system. We were able to analyze the steady state behavior as the system continues to fix itself back to steady state conditions.
Senior Design Project:
Using Volt/VAR Compensation to run simulations to optimize today’s voltage and power delivery.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Temporary Retail employee Hornet Bookstroe Jan 8, 2018 - Present
Provide customer service with the most satisfying way, and fulfilling their online orders pick up. Developed essentially communication skills with customers and coworkers.
Cook & truck loader McDonalds July 2013 - August 2014
I did inventory and made sure all the products were organized and ready to cook, and accomplished under time constraint orders.
