Technical Lead

The Office of Accessible Systems & Technology (OAST) guides and supports all Department components in removing barriers to information access and employment of qualified individuals with disabilities in accord with the requirements of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.

OAST provides strategic direction, governance, technical support, and training to ensure Department employees and customers with disabilities have equal access to information and data. OAST strives to ensure that electronic and information technology procured, developed, maintained, or used by the Department is accessible to employees and customers with disabilities through a range of policy, training, technical assistance, governance and compliance activities.

To make the Application\Site accessible to all the people with disabilities, Microsoft provided certain standards called Microsoft Accessibility Standards(MAS).

Responsibilities:

Participated in business analysis of customer requirements and propose testing strategy for the applications to test on Web and Mobile Applications.

Attend the demo on the Application\Site, to Validate the Website for WCAG 2.0.

Prepare the Test Plan, applicable MAS rules and share with the Client\Application Owner.

Once we receive the approval from the Client regarding the scope of the application, Test cases are prepared.

Test cases are also shared with the Application Owner for confirmation.

The tester will start testing the application as per the applicable MAS rules on the Application.

Raise the bugs in Product Studio(Microsoft Internal bug Tracking tool) and assign them to respective Application Owner.

Lead will send to the Closure mail to the Owner, Once the testing is completed.

The Owner will check all the bugs raised by the team.

If there are any queries regarding the bugs, the Owner will set up a call for the details.

Once the issue is fixed, the Owner will send mail to the Lead and assign the bugs to the team for re-testing.

If the issue is resolved, the bug will be closed. Else, it will be re-assigned to Owner with all the necessary details.

Once the testing is completed, Microsoft will give grading for the application, it is called EGRC grading.

Lead will prepare all the necessary details of the application regarding the MAS rules and upload the files into EGRC Platform.

Microsoft will check all the files and give grading for the application.

Lead then share the final Closure of the application with Application Owners and Microsoft team.

Generated test summary reports, daily reports and communicated status with customer along with tracking and reporting on test execution.

Microsoft will prepare the library content in English language and take that to live. Once the files are in live without any issues, the Vendors will localize the content into different markets. The Build team will take hand off files from vendors and create (HXS) builds for the data and make that into Live using Publishing Tool.

Building the localized content and publishing it to live.

Perform Adhoc builds as per the hot fixes.

Mile Stone Quality (MQ) Engineer

Mile Stone Quality came into existence while migrating the data from O12 to O14 (1.e., from .XML to Share Point site). While migrating the data from there are many issues like broken links, relationship and image changes. To make to resolve all these issues, MQ team fix them to migrate the data to O14. Re-migrate is also done by MQ Team using the Tool for proper propagation of the data.

Fixing the broken links issues.

Creating relationship between the pages and assets.

Running the tool for the migrated content.

Performed different type of testing on application to ensure that application is error free.

Worked with Fit test framework for developing fit test for automated acceptance tests.

Tested Migrating Content Providers from an existing schema in XML to new schema in order to utilize the improved and new functionality of Partner Center application.

Re-migrated the content using tool once the issues are fixed.
