Evaluated design, costs, and link budget submissions from competing contractors to award projects and then follow the projects to completion. Act as engineering liaison to evaluate best design solution for customer need. Interface with large scale customer, contractor, and local operation groups across the regions to facilitate the best solution for customer while maintaining strong political ties and an emphasis on protecting the network. Travel to customer location and evaluate best solution for in building coverage. Perform lead role and complete final evaluation of contractor design and craftsmanship for hand off to network and customer. Designed and or approved fiber das and neutral host systems for majority of Atlantic City Casinos. Work closely with technical project managers to stay within very strict SLA time guidelines.
Lead engineer for Major subway projects including New York City Transit “NYCT”, Metropolitan Boston Transit Authority “MBTA”, Empire State Building, World Trade Center Museum, Philadelphia Airport, JFK, Laguardia, Norfolk Airport, several large universities, stadiums, and large scale projects including the 2014 Superbowl at Met Life Stadium in Rutherford, New Jersey.
Design large scale base station and repeater driven fiber optic systems from concept to proof of performance for most major manufacturers including TE, Commscope, and Mobile Access using iBWave and basic link budget tools.
RF Design & Optimization Engineer
Engineering Manager - Fathi Zekaria
1998 – 2004 Sprint Pennsauken, NJ
Design and optimization of CDMA PCS system. Responsible for Southern New Jersey and Camden. Responsibilities include the design of PCS wireless site’s and performance improvement of existing on air sites to provide superior coverage. Responsible for the initial design of Delaware State and five large counties in New Jersey.
RF Engineer
Engineering Manager - Fathi Zekaria
1997 – 1998 Geotek Communications Montvale, NJ
Resolved interference issues throughout United States in all FHMA markets upon escalation to corporate level office and trained market level personnel to become proficient with use of RF tools available in markets to perform preventive maintenance as outlined in corporate policy and to improve troubleshooting skills.
Successfully turned each adversarial situation related to the common air interface problems in to a mutually productive environment for both the interfering carrier and affected carrier.
Performed filter testing, radio testing, and software enhancements as more advanced and improved methods and techniques became available so they could be deployed at market levels.
Corporate personnel were being eliminated to reduce costs and my position was costly because of the travel involved. My Supervisor helped to create position outside of corporate office that allowed an income until last days of operation within the Philadelphia Network Operations, ultimately the organization filed bankruptcy thus dissolving position.
Owner/Contractor
1996 – 1997 Futurenet Engineering
Contracted sweep and proof of performance tasks from various organizations.
Eliminated various RF interference problems for clients throughout Southern New Jersey and Delaware Valley.
Worked with Web TV Inc. to establish protocols for advanced universal ISP dial up accessibility outside LATA but within POP.
Position demanded extensive travel for continued growth because of geographic location, receivables were unpredictable, and healthcare insurance for family was very expensive.
