In addition to the precise execution of laboratory experiments, I researched the medical literature to augment our study designs and learned to master the use of high-level analytical equipment and processes such as HPLC, scanning electron microscopy, and maintenance of pristine cell culture lines.

We developed fluorinated Vitamin D analogs which reversed colon cancer cell differentiation in myriad substrates, and I was named co-author on two publications. Collaborating with scientists and highly- skilled technicians was a joyous experience for me, and I enjoyed greatly the independence and responsibilities with which I was entrusted as well as being part of such an intelligent and inquisitive community.
