Work Experience:

Recruited as the Executive Director by Consulate Health Care to lead facility out of a Special Focus Facility situation, Facility had suffered several poor survey outcomes and was preparing for closure by the State. My goal was to establish stability in the key leadership positions, most critically Nursing. Nursing was experiencing 60-70% agency staffing and significant turnover. My focus was developing a strong Clinical team with hire of new DON, ADON and scheduler changes. With a better effort in recruiting techniques and approaches,we were able to eliminate agency within 6 months. We also developed a Reeder's Teamwork philosophy and held weekly and monthly employee recognition events to help boost Morale. Better staffing stability with strong leadership oversight helped facility achieve goal of clearing SFF in March 2017. I continued to work with Consulate to start enhancing census and Marketing. We were able to achieve budget within a few months and maintain and exceed Census projection monthly. In January, facility was sold to new owners, Sterling care.
