Current Position
CLINICAL EXPERIENCE : From 1994 onwards I have been working as an ENT Specialist in various Armed Forces Hospitals under varied conditions.
The professional work has intense exposure and experience in managing single handedly all routine clinical work in the department of ENT in hospitals having OPD patient load of on the average of 60 to 80 per day.
Also have the experience in under taking all routine and emergency Surgical procedures of the department.
Have had the experience of working as a single specialist in the department continuously for a period of nearly three years in the Base Hospital at Srinagar (J&K) during the height of militancy from 1995 to 1998. The Hospital is regarded as the epitome of trauma Surgery amongst the Service Hospitals.
Have experience of undertaking all life saving surgeries pertaining to the speciality under tedious and very demanding circumstances. Have significant experience of single handed management of blast injuries, Gun shot, missile injuries and active management of poly trauma and Road traffic accident cases.
Worked as a Classified Specialist in the speciality at the Military hospital at Khadki in Pune.
As an affiliated hospital of the Armed Forces Medical College Pune, taken part in all academic curriculum of the Undergraduate wing and as a post graduate teacher of the College in the capacity of Associate professor in the department of ENT under the Maharashtra University of Health sciences, Nashik.
Volunteered for premature release from the Armed Forces Medical Service in Sept 2012 and at present working since Nov.2012 in a private tertiary care hospital in the UAE as a Specialist in ENT.

Previous Work Experience
Have been a classified Specialist since 1999. Being in the Armed forces it is mandatory to take up all responsibilities in the smooth running of the Department. This involves all administrative responsibilities apart from the speciality duties.
As a specialist I have been conducting on the job training including formal classes for the Nursing and paramedical staff of the various hospitals wherever I have worked.
Practical Skills
All routine surgical procedures in the subject including OPD Procedures.
Regular Practice in routine microsurgical techniques.
Fibre optic flexible diagnostic procedures in the OPD including endoscopic biopsies.
All endoscopic surgical manoueveres in the Speciality like FESS.
All routine head neck Surgical procedures like Thyroidectomies, Submandibular Sialadenectomy, Parotid Surgeries.
Routine OPD evaluation in terms of Audiometry, Tympanometry, etc.
Audits & Research
Have been in active participation in the medical Audit Board during my posting at the Army Base Hospital.
Volunteer & Community Activities
Have undertaken mass evaluation of ENT assessment of differently abled children at various ENT centres that I have been posted to.
Participated in a camp at Sukna, Dist. Darjeeling in Hearing handicap assessment of children and adults from various remand homes of the district and dispensation of Hearing aid devices.
