APRIL 2016 – AUGUST 2016
Financial Advisor / Primerica Financial Services, Brooklyn
Implemented a new system for tax allocation for an account of $600,000. Utilized Microsoft Excel to create automatic reports to track progress and expenditure. This new system will ensure that if the company is ever to be audited, all the information relevant to tax filing years will have both the paper and electronic trail making it easy for the auditors to complete their necessary tasks.
Completed financial analysis based on the Needs Based Approach of accounting for several families to determine suitability for financial products such as Life Insurance and retirement savings plans. Learned to assess needs and recommend financial products that would add to the lives of customers rather than opening accounts to increase stipends or commissions.
Performed daily accounting tasks such as recording assets and incomes for the branch manager to prepare the yearly tax record to be submitted to the IRS. An estimate of $300,000 in expenses were logged for the year 2015 in a retroactive record of the accounts.
OCTOBER 2015 – DECEMBER 2015
Paralegal / New York Law Department, Queens
Prepared preliminary case material for legal actions against the city and the Department of Environmental Protection, in particular. This process required knowledge of the city database, HANSEN, which logs all customer complaints and actions taken by the city to repair faulty equipment within the 5 boroughs.
Collected primary and secondary evidence through DEP repair yards on action taken to repair faults. This involved traveling across the state to collect handwritten notes and maps which are unable to be scanned into the system and present them to attorneys who have requested them in the discovery phase of their lawsuit.
Updated the citywide time log for Temporary employees which makes it more easily accessible to enter times daily rather than on a biweekly basis. The department was especially pleased and began talks with the city for immediate adoption and use.
NOVEMBER 2015 – AUGUST 2016
