On joining the group, my primary focus was establishing close working relationship with the business users to improve the quality of service delivered to them. Project Manager in Mortgage Capital Division. 6/2005-6/2007
The key objective was to integrate the technology of two mortgage servicing companies acquired by Lehman Brothers into a new mortgage servicing entity. This was a transformation program and I was responsible for managing a number of workstream leaders to deliver core technology services for the new company. I worked with senior stakeholder to establish a new target operating model to transform the business, and, worked with the businesses to implement change in a strategic manner.
Established the project office, recruited a team of thirteen which included project managers, business analysts and a test manager. Engaged with key stakeholder to establish the business requirements and obtained sign-off. Implemented project management disciplines to ensure successful delivery of the programme.
Appointed Chief Operating Office to the Equity Technology 2/2004-6/2005
Responsibility for improving operational stability for the Equity Division. I was responsible for implementing processes for root cause analysis of production systems failures, and for establishing procedures to stabilize the production systems. I introduced rigorous change and release management procedures, incident management and problem escalation, incident post mortem review and action plan. Involved the business in the new request review and prioritization process, worked with development teams to ensure proper documentation was maintained, bugs were tracked, and standard development life-cycle practices were introduced. The role involved the support of Equity Derivatives pricing and trading applications for the London desk. My role involved close liaison with the business to work in partnership on new initiatives to define requirements, identify problems, and improve application stability. Plan, organize and manage the local project team of seven. My responsibilities included ensuring that trades and prices were fed to middle and back office systems and to ensure that P&L and market risk information was delivered to the front office.
Work closely with Global Head Derivatives Technology to ensure that global strategic initiatives were successfully implemented. I was also responsible for developing and implementing the warrants pricing and trading system for the European markets. Designed and implemented a distributed calculation engine for Monte-Carlo simulations.
