Highly experience with more than 18 years Gulf experience offshore and onshore related project as an Instrument technician Calibration, Installation, Commissioning, troubleshooting and Maintenance. Have independently handled and successfully completed the project through coordination with Sub-contractors, Vender and clients. Job undertaken/handled Oil & Gas Petrochemical Plant, Refinery, Power plant, Water Desalination, Gathering, Upgrades, Shutdown maintenance and new construction activities offshore and onshore related project. Ensure the projects as detailed in the technical Specification for all Instrument Construction are carried out faithfully. Familiar with reading P&ID, Logic, Loop and hook-up drawing, cable schedule and instruments layout. Good experience in DCS/PLC, Pre-Commissioning and installation of Cable tray, Conduits, Air line Pipe and Impulse tubing.

Job Description

Have experience in instruments installation like Pressure transmitter, DPIT transmitter, flow transmitter, Level transmitter, Vibration and Temperature transmitters, I/P converter, Pressure gauges, temperature gauges, thermocouples, analyzer transmitter, Switches, Control valves, on-off valves, pressure release valves, Solenoid Operated valves, Honeywell Gas Alarm System, Siemens FM 200 and Combustible Gas detector, H2S detector, Smoke detectors and Heat detectors etc.

Have experienced in Function & logic testing, module testing, PLC/DCS and ESD system, Function/Sequence testing, Foundation field bus system, Bench and field Calibration, Loop checking, Pre-Commissioning and Plant startup.

Managed and provided technical direction for electrical and instrumentation routing maintenance, preventive maintenance, trouble shooting, tuning, and calibration program for instrumentation and control system to ensure that the process control system function properly.

Assist Construction with inspection and Punch Lists of installation and Vendor packages.

Conducted investigation to determine the causes of trips and similar events and developed measures to avoid recurrence.

Ensure Technicians work is carried out in a safe and controlled manner in accordance with site procedures and PTW system.

Have experience installation and testing Telecom system, paging and Camera.

Attend to routine/emergency callouts outside working hours.

All construction activities and co-ordinate various aspects of project construction including inspections, material submissions and working drawings from contractors, and processing documentation as required.

Carryout daily checks on contractor’s staff and work carried out during the previous day in order to ensure compliance with prescribed contractual specifications.

Handle all aspects of Instrument Construction activities including site investigations, site surveys and etc.

Sign work permits on behalf of client and to ensure that contractor’s compliance with work permits.

Participate in development of as-built drawings/documentation.

Prepare Punch list for finished work prior to hand over to client.

Have experience installation instrument like Pressure switch, Level switch, Pull code switch, Belt Misalignment switch, Belt trip detector, metal detector, weight sensor, speed switch etc.

Identify potential problems and resolves if able to or escalates when necessary.

Ensures proper and adequate supplies of spare parts and consumables are available for planned activities in order to maintain continuity of work progress.

Observes and complies with safety rules and regulation, including permit to work system.

Safely perform Commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance and diagnose faults on the following.

Have good knowledge interlocks, alarms and controls performance verification.

Responsible for completing verification assurance and maintenance routines, and maintaining quality records.

Ensure that all planned maintenance is completed on the equipment for

which responsible ensure correct and accurate completion of all maintenance date and reports and all information is entered into the maintenance management system.

Have good knowledge in computers and update day to day Lab &site reports.

Ensure all instruments are erected as per Client specs and quality.

Good verbal and written communications.

Ensure safe work practices are following and clean work maintained.

Willing to take responsibility, with good interpersonal skills.

Co-ordinate with construction person about ongoing site issue.

Ensures that all planned maintenance is completed on the equipment for which responsible.

Loop check all type Electrical & Instrument from DCS to Field.

Experience in working at Loop check, Pre-Commissioning and shut-down jobs.

Complete routine maintenance, fault diagnosis, corrective maintenance and installation of equipment.

The instrument shall be installation with access for maintenance.

All the instrument are to be bench calibration such as control valves, transmitter, Gauges, Switches shall be calibrated in Lab and priority to installation.

Installation stanchion cable tray, Conduits, all types of instrument Local control panel, Marshaling Panel and Console cabinet installation..

Instrument tubing, vent and drain according to drawing.

Ensure incoming material at project site Witnessed Calibration of field Instruments at shop as well as test calibration of equipment’s used in the Calibration shop and verified the validity of the Calibration of the test & measuring equipment’s as per standards.

Have experienced in leak testing and instrument impulse line and instrument air supply lines.

To liaise with Safety officer on all Safety related issues and report with QA/QC inspector on all QA/QC related issues.

Ensure that all works are carried out in line with Companies HSE Policy and that all personnel under his direction are aware of the policy.

To Participate in development of as-built drawing and documentation.

Maintain good communication with all Company department and Contractors.
