Projects worked on –

Revolving credit Paperless Statements –

This project is the rollout of paperless statement program for all revolving credit customers. CIS would be the book of records for the RKO preferences and would store and manage the record keeping option from multiple channels.

Paperless RKO maintenance –

Currently, Customer information Systems offer customers the ability to change their RKO option for specific in-scope products (i.e. APP, Revolving Credit, Mortgage and PPS)

The need of a virtual scotia card (VSC) or physical scotia card is mandatory to complete a paperless record keeping option at the branch. VSC and Scotia card detection is completed after the officer selects the paperless option. However, the system must complete an automatic verification of either the VSC or physical Scotia card before allowing the Branch officer to continue to setup the RKO.

Savings Initiative –

Many applications display savings product names in English and French with various lengths, some of which include Scotia OnLine, Branch screens, customer statements, letters and various reports.

The BB application maintains Savings product names and corresponding mnenonics hard coded in core memory of BBDSC which is a mainframe program. The phase IIa has built the infrastructure for a centralized repository for Savings product names. This phase will provide the ability for BNS applications to retrieve Savings product name information from the centralized repository using the newly built infrastructure.

KYC –

Existing processes and controls for on-boarding customers via all non-branch channels i.e. COM (scotia.com), CCC(EDGE), intercept (Millenium1Solutions) do not ensure customer presented identification and occupation/employment details are updated to the Customer Information System via AS/400 process. CIS system is now the primary source for BNS Canadian banking’s customer profile information, missing KYC information on CIS system represents and unwanted AML risk to the bank. Objective of the initiative is to program alternate delivery channels to pass required KYC primary and secondary and supplementary customer demographics to CIS system for New customer.

Copy, paste and Toggle –

The purpose of this initiative to provide enhancement of –

1.Improve the usability experience for the branch users by providing them with an efficient way of searching for customer information and reducing the number of steps that are part of the search within E-Process.

2. Enhance the user experience by reducing the number of steps when performing copy and paste.

Family of Cards –

This project is to partner with 3rd parties and offer new credit cards targeted to customer’s needs. This is to launch processed and build a repeatable generic card inventory of common features and functionalities that can be quickly customized.

Taxation -

Taxation application involves generation of various tax slips, reports and registers like T4RSP, T4A, T4RIF, NR series and all the Releve series for registered and non registered accounts for customers who are resident and non-resident, depending on various factors. The project involved multiple environments like client-server, web-based and mainframes.

Responsibilities:

•Analyzed the requirements

•Analyzed BRD, EDD and tracked the changes made to the requirements, using QC and ALM

•Maintained testing standards and was involved in creating test cases

•Used QC for defect tracking through out the project.
