Served as Range Maintenance Supervisor directing 60 personnel in day to day operations concerning the Maintenance and up keep of the Ft Polk Range Complex.
CONTRACTING OFFICER TECHNICAL REPRESENTATIVE 2003-2007
Worked as Contracting officer Representative to provide contract administration and oversight of the installation Range Operations, Range Maintenance, and Reserve Components. Reviewed contractors quality assurance plans. Was responsible for the development, implementation, and execution of internal plans, policies, and procedures to accomplish Government Quality surveillance plan. TARGET SYSTEM MECHANIC 1986-1996
Trouble shot gas powered moving target carriers to determine the malfunction of engine, electrical, system and drive train. Repaired defective parts or system. Disassembled and rebuilt engines, carburetors, starters, alternators, clutches, drive shafts, universal joints, chain and drive sprockets. Aligned, meshed and connected, repaired units to related mechanisms. Installed fuel, oil filters, installed electrical systems to repaired units, and made adjustments to drive train and clutches. Performed automotive repair work to include repair, rebuild moving target carrier frames by welding and manufacturing new parts, installed and tested moving target carrier electronic control systems. Performed welding using electric, Acetylene and Argon welding equipment. Performed cutting, brazing, bead and tack welding procedures. Loaded moving target carriers on trailer transported unloaded and installed on track. Performed pre run inspection and test ran moving target carriers, installed and checked target mechanisms, miles fire back devices, batteries, hostile fire simulators, and other simulator devices on vehicles.
MAINTENANCE WORKER 1975-1986
G3/DPTMS Range Division, Ft Polk, LA
Fabricated and installed various range targets IAW drawings and specifications. Constructed items from wood IAW specifications. Constructed realistic three dimensional vehicle targets. Repaired targets and other structures by removing damaged sections and installing patches. Set up power saws, aligned cutting tables, drill presses, etc. for various cutting, shaping and drilling. Measured and cut materials according to blue prints and other specifications. Fit nailed or glued pieces IAW blueprints. Repaired wooden frames and metal buildings and painted the items repaired. Replaced broken or damaged hardware. Planed, laid out and measured materials IAW with requirements. Fabricated framing templates for the plywood targets in order to expiate the fabrication of the targets. Operated computerized ranges. Set climatic controls, activated computer, wrote and programmed training scenarios in the computer IAW the training requirements for individual ranges. Performed preventative maintenance on target devices. Painted targets, markers, and structures by brushing, rolling and spraying. Cut brush, tree limbs, trees and grass to clear line of sight utilizing mowing machines, tractors with bush hogs, and other tools and equipment.

Constructed building foundations by setting forms, installing steel reinforcement bars and wire for the concrete foundation. Constructed the buildings by framing the walls with 2x4 studs on 16 inch centers. Installed the ceiling joist and rafters on 24 inch centers. Installed the plywood decking and shingles. Installed various types of plumbing and fixtures. Installed the electrical wiring and fixtures. Painted or stained the wood work. All work was performed to building codes, blueprint, or to customer requirement.
