DESCRIPTION: Unified Customer Service Record (UCSR) is a common Gateway application which numerous other applications use for retrieving the customer profile and also updates the existing customer information from external systems using Biz Talk Server. This application is accessed by more than 20 clients (internal to Verizon) and has a hit rate of 4 million calls per day and hence a critical pillar for BAU (Business As Usual).

Responsibilities:

Created the Orchestration project which includes BizTalk orchestrations, Maps, and schemas used as the overall flow manager of the application.

Worked proactively in creating the Business rules as per business requirements and validated through BizTalk rule engine.

Effectively implemented BizTalk maps using Functoids for reformatting the order into an “internal or application” schema which more closely resembled the database model

Developed several MOG (Multiple Order Generator) Processes which help in creating multiple orders as well as correct the existing orders. Of these MOG processes (COPA and UNO) are two processes which saved lot of money (Generally each order takes around 16 minutes for a representative to create an order).

Worked with production support team to clear production issues from Clean Room.

Designed the table driven approach which help to correct the orders with minimal code changes.

Developed efficient Stored Procedures in SQL Server to read the data from varied tables.

And once the request gets processed it is dispatched to various downstream systems through various sources like WS Call, IBM MQ, SFTP (Folder) etc.
