COMPOUND DIE SET USING PRESSURE PRESS
It is an assembly of punch and die block designed to simultaneously perform two or more than two cutting operations during one stroke. It is used to pierce blank while punching at same time. e.g.:- washer. It very economical in the mass production as compared to single operation dies. Widely used in automobile and aerospace industry. It is most widely used in sheet metal operation, it basically consists of ram equipped with sheared punch, a backing punch and die block joined with frame, punch is supported by a backing punch and backing plate. Die set have two guide pin located diagonally helps in aligning of punch and die.
