Replaced components dealing with Azures infrastructure and for individual sleeves in clusters utilizing WCS tools. Used WCS through serial connection to troubleshoot many problems with clusters and individual sleeves and repaired or replaced necessary components. Used JDSU and Fluke to troubleshoot automation process with serial validations by automated processes between clusters and Cisco routers and Arista switches in MDF. Taking part in the Deployment process with clusters and power validation tests to ensure row of clusters was functional and troubleshoot problems as they arose. Networking
Creating a VPN on windows and Linux machines, as well Configured servers to have static IP and Dynamic addresses. Configured servers to use Softether VPN, Open VPN, and vyprVPN. Created self-signed certificates for VPN. Assigned a listening port and VPN for incoming traffic created Authenticated user list. Installed software for Softether VPN on the clients. Helped setup two 48 port layer 2 D-link switches in private network. Setup three Aruba wireless AP's in attic that are also configured for PoE to baby monitors (cameras) in various locations throughout house. Troubleshoot multitude of Arista, Cisco, and Juniper routers and switches within a multinational Corporations production environment. Reset Passwords for multitude of Arista, Cisco, and Juniper routers and switches through IOS command line, and by changing configuration files in GRUB in VI text editor. Running and Troubleshooting connectivity problems Cat5, Cat6, Multi-mode, single-mode, PSM4 fiber cables, AOC fiber cables, Octocables, MTP fiber cables in, Discrete servers to networking equipment, clusters, MDF’s, IDF’s, and MMR’s.. Using JDSU and FLUKE to test connectivity of copper and fiber optic cables when dealing with networking issues.. Rolling fiber cables to ensure correct orientation with light source. In MDF’s worked with Cisco 7000 AGGs to run cables to respective colos. Creating Cat 5 cables when needed.
Hardware
Replacing all hardware components inside servers including TPM chips when motherboards would fail. Working with a multitude of RAID cards and troubleshooting errors generated because faulty cabling and faulty RAID cards. Worked with SANs of a variety of types, and was able to do some troubleshooting for the client during while the server was being remotely imaged. Updating firmware on variety of motherboards and hard drives that were used in Dell clusters. Installing, replacing, troubleshooting multiple types of SPF’s for fiber optics (single-mode and multi-mode). Replacing Cache on a RAID card. Working with VOIP servers, CDP backup servers, PCI servers.
