Tasks:

oDevelopment and design of new products for the Industrial coolers and Applied Products departments.

oPerform structural simulation and finite element analysis for the validation and development of new product. Interpret FEA results and apply recommend design changes to meet product performance requirements.

oEvaluate and design electromechanical products by applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer and materials.

oResponsible for creating technical drawings to manufacture and assembly coil heat exchangers.

oCreated and checked assembly and individual parts drawings per sketches, customer drawings, descriptions and requests.

oDesigned tools and fixtures for Production and Testing Laboratory.

oPrepared and checked bills of material for newly created or revised drawings.

oAssisted other designers of the department on SolidWorks matters.

Accomplishments:

Helped to develop tools to make the drafting process faster and automated, this saved two thirds of the average time of the drafting process, which positively affected the manufacturing and sales department. This also offered a better understanding of the components, allowing the use of these models for fit, form and function simulations. This was also used as a marketing tool and a better way to communicate and revise the products with the customers.

Trained and assisted the LUVATA OEM Headquarter design department when they implemented SolidWorks as the new design software.
