Project – Equal Payment Plan

The goal of Equal Payment Plan project is to deliver a new proposition to customers, which will enable them to pay for high value purchases through a series of equal monthly installments for a one-off fee.EPP will be offered for qualifying customers meeting certain eligibility criteria.

1. Targeting of customers for EPP offers based on customer and account status.

2. Reminding customers of offers when they make high value purchase.

3. Enabling a customer to select a specific EPP offer.

4. Performing eligibility check before accepting an EPP request.

5. Creation of an EPP on customers account based on a high value purchase.

6. Calculation of interest, minimum payment and direct debit amounts for EPP.

Client – Discover

The Discover Card is a major credit card, issued primarily in the United States. It was originally introduced by Sears in 1985, and was part of Dean Witter, and then Morgan Stanley, until 2007, when Discover Financial Services became an independent company. Discover Card has over 50 million card members and the Discover Network has more than 4 million merchant and cash access locations. Worked on front applications IVR, IAS, ORION, ICE, Titanium used by Discover.

Pricing Readiness:

This project aimed at implementation of the New Federal Regulations for Credit Cards which modifies the existing Credit Cardholder’s Bill of Rights. The customers will be benefited because of elimination of complex practices and hidden costs, including disclosures and more time to pay bills and limits on up front fees for cards.

MCO (Multiple Concurrent Offers)

MCO is the Multiple Concurrent Offers. In this project we are testing for the multiple promos offered to the card member. The promos are the different types of offers offered to the card member for specific merchant or merchant groups or card members can enroll into the general offer. We are testing for three types of cash promos and two types of purchase promos.

CCS Retention and Usage:

This project will link Customer Contact Strategy (CCS) functionality with Retention & Usage, specifically the Incentives screen within Orion. Within this incentive screen based on the priority the list of recommendations (Offers) will be displayed. We are offer the products to the customer to retain the account also with some of the offers we are increasing the use of the card member.

Enhanced Line Increase:

This Project is related to Credit Line Increase of the Customer. The temporary credit or cash line be increased based on the offer given to the customer. Discover will provide certain offer of Cash, Usage and BT to the customer. If the offer is fulfilled, then customer will get temporary credit/cash line increase

Service Messaging:

Overview: In Service Messaging we are adding the message in Orion application. The message is created through Service Message Link. After a batch this message will be loaded on the accounts. This message will display on the screens based on the priority on the different tabs. The message can be related to offer, account status, product enrollment. The information will be provided to the customer or customer can ask for particular information. Based on the message information will be given and next action will be taken. Message display and action on each message will be tracked through the history screen and memo generated.

Vision-is ongoing project of HSBC Bank. It deals with the consumer lending (Loan origination system).The application deals with collecting the customer data required for loan processing. Depending on all collected information application approves or rejects customer's request for loan. This application is mainly related to handling various aspects related to Consumer Lending, and thus requires knowledge of Banking domain. This is a client server application build using Power Builder as front end, and Mainframe and Sybase as back end. During this period I was involved in testing for 'Flex-PRR', 'SMG3', 'Vision-Optimization',' Canada HOLP', ‘AIB’ modules.

App87:

A key component in the General Ledger is the legal entity number associated with the legally named company that holds title to the asset. The file which is sent to the General Ledger with CII journal entries containing the transaction codes JET, JEN and COL does not contain legal entity field. This result in non-specific reporting of these transactions in the reports filed with the federal banking system.

Objectives:

Modify the data entry process on Century II (CII), to allow users to input an account number on JET, JEN and COL transactions.

Derive the legal entity based on the account number provided on a JET, JEN & COL transaction. Pass the derived number to the back end process.

Ensure that the Legal Entity in the Application 87 feed to the General Ledger match the Customer Master File for JET, JEN & COL transactions that are processed with an account number from CII.

Create an exception report which will list all JET, JEN & COL transactions entered without an account number. The report will list only JET, JEN & COL transactions processed with an account specific CII codes.

Consumer Lending Pre-screen one

The primary objective of this initiative is to provide an infrastructure to support Cross Sell initiative growth by selling high value products (mortgage and auto loans) to new Credit Card Services (CCS) customers. Customers will be systemically pre-screened for various Consumer Lending products. The bureau agency used for prescreening in the pilot will be Experian.

Objectives:

There are 2 Consumer Lending products that are currently in scope for the pilot phase of this project:

Pre-Selected Real Estate (RE)

Pre-Selected Non Real Estate (NRE)

The pre-screen data will be transferred across multiple business units in real-time. This project will focus on creating and allocating leads specific to this campaign for solicitation via Centralized Operations (Carmel, IN).

The RE product will be worked out of business unit 23 in global office ‘986781’ and the NRE product will be worked out of business units ‘01’ & ‘16’ in global office ‘984281’

Abandon Property-CII upgrade

Objectives: The objective of this project is to transfer customer data (name and address) along with the payee information, for the checks which are produced from Vision and CII, to ReconNET and the escheat system (APECS).
