Projects : EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON FLEXURAL BEHAVIOUR OF COLD FORMED LIGHT GAUGE STEEL SECTION

The main objective of this project is an experimental study on Flexural behavior of cold formed light gauge steel section. why cold form steel?Cold-formed steel is characterized with light weight, high strength, structure with more reasonable and economical construction, wide varieties, features a smoother surface and accurate size.The desired result were achieved.

Application Areas:

Cold-formed steel (CFS) members are widely used in the construction of buildings, bridges, storage racks, vehicle bodies, transmission towers and poles.

Some typical CFS members like studs, tracks, purlins and grits are mainly used as structural members that take up the load, while panels and decks are made into floors, roof and walls

STRUCTURAL DESIGN FOR BUS TERMINUS Oct 2014

The main objective of this project is to make a structural design for the proposed bus terminus at Vandalur. Real time survey was done to optimize the bus timings and reduce the traffic congestion. Bus routes were optimized and restructured in such a way that all the urban areas are covered with minimal bus routes.

DESIGN SOFTWARE

AutoCAD – Generated 2D plan illustrating the designs and locations of bay in, bay out, parking, breakdown services, workshop, Ticket counter public amenities like ATM, Rest Rooms, Clock room, Waiting halls, Restaurants, Enquiry services and Hospitality services.

Participated and won Third Prize in Poster Presentation “on spot topic” held, at Anna university Chennai
