Provided network administration and costumer support in the Identification Department of the Suffolk County Police Headquarters.
Daily assignments involved working with the department fingerprint analysts to insure efficiency and accuracy within their fingerprint database.
To accomplish this, we used a N.E.C AFIS21 UP790 server running (Oracle 8.0) for backend processes, and N.E.C transaction controller on workstations running Windows NT 4.0 Server.
All administrative assignments were done in a timely manner, this included device repair, security upgrades, backups and system restores.
Using Open, Citrix 6.00, VMware and Telnet, I was able to manage desk top and servers remotely and Active Directory to manage workstations and other devices while in office.
