Key Achievements:
Navigated complex matters through continuous improvement utilizing the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control) approach derived from Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification obtained in 2010. Managed scheduling for 260 employees with a 24 hour seven day a week rotating shift production operation. As purchasing manager, had supervision of office staff, inventory stores and receiving dock. As plant manager I was in charge of 260 direct-reporting staff members. Supervised daily workflow on plant floor operations and tracked forecasted labor hours in correlation with actual production schedule. Administered daily production audit meetings at communication boards on the plant floor to discuss bottlenecks and designate resolutions with a 24-hour deadline for objectives. Deployed corrective actions to neutralize restricted flow such as print dimension, tooling availability, raw material, and all other production issues. Directed component part specifications, finished goods, and stocking replenishment programs.
Key Achievements:
Regulated national and global orthopedic surgical instrument procurement worth $4M in finished products. Purchased raw materials ($4.85M of titanium, $4.50M of stainless steel, and $2.40M of aluminum), as well as outside services support.
Executed a plant closing and the transportation of purchased goods, raw materials, and machinery to the new facility. Eradicated $1M of past due goods from Germany within the first four months of production.
