Horizon Technology Group was the owner of our plant until 2007, at which time Continental/Midland – Jacobson Manufacturing purchased the facility. Monomoy Capital Partners purchased our plant in July 2014, keeping the name Jacobson MFG – Tiffin, LLC within the Continental/Midland Group of companies.

Jacobson MFG – Tiffin, LLC is a Tier One Cold Formed Parts supplier to the automotive industry. These parts include wheel nuts and difficult specialty niche fasteners. Jacobson MFG – Tiffin, LLC is part of the Continental/Midland group of companies. The entire group has annual sales of $275,000, of which the Tiffin plant has annual sales of $27,000,000. Our customers are Chrysler, General Motors, Lear, BAE, TRW, Nexteer, Autoliv, Hitachi, Toyota, Fisher Dynamics, Luk and others. The Tiffin Facility is 80,000 Sq. Ft., employs 55 full time people and 15 temporary people.

Responsibilities include:

• Precisely schedule production for cold forming operations and secondary operations, with proper lead times and optimum inventory levels.

• Maintain and update job process routings and bill of materials.

• Raw Material, Component and Subcontracting procurement.

• Evaluate new sources for raw material, components and outside processing.

• Monitor EDI releases and customer order changes. Approve and adjust customer spot orders.

• Resolve customer service issues.

• Created and implemented tooling costing, purchasing, bill of material, inventory control and standard tool life program.

• Implemented MFG PRO, Baan and Plex MRP systems and have used IBM system 36 MRP system.

• Control production and production inventory.

• Supervise shipping and receiving department.

• Direct flow to and from outside processors.

• Responsible for customer performance ratings. Ford DDL, Chrysler Smart, GM CCA …

• Prepare and track monthly metrics, including supplier delivery performance.

• Supervise wheel nut cell personnel and activities.
