Snelling Staffing Agency
[September 2017 - Present]
My many duties include answering phones, checking incoming faxes and sending outgoing, collecting copays or balances, verifying insurance eligibility, scheduling patients, taking messages for nurses or doctors, and other various tasks I'm able to help with.
BioImaging MRI Center
[June 2017 - September]
My main responsibility is to register the patient by obtaining their correct demographics and going through their medical history, have them change and prepare for their MRI, and then ake them to the technician for their scan. Other responsibilities include washing linens and scrubs, basic cleaning, and stocking up items in the waiting area. I am also familiar with scheduling.
American Family Care Urgent Care Center
[September 2015 – June 2017]
At AFC, I have multiple responsibilities. There are two different positions, check in and check out. The check in position is where patients sign in. I get them registered if they have not been to any of our clinics before, if they have been seen before I make sure all information is updated including insurance, HIPPA forms, etc. I also answer basic questions when patients walk in that they might have, take payments for bills, mostly your basic reception duties. The check-out position is where patients get their discharge papers to reference their visit later if needed. This position also answers a majority of phone calls, does the faxing and scanning, and backs up the check in position when needed. Both positions work together as a team to keep the front desk running smoothly and the patient flow steady. I would also work other clinics when necessary.
Sleep and Pulmonary Care Center
[March 2015 – September 2015]
The position I held was scheduler/receptionist. The main part of my job is to help schedule patients for their proper appointments. There are various other tasks I accomplish along with scheduling appointments. I am the one responsible for calling insurance companies to get patient’s authorized for certain procedures if needed and I also send out referrals to other physician’s for patients to be seen. I also call patients to reschedule them when they miss appointments or if they are referred to us by other physicians. I mainly help with front-desk duties and help out wherever I am needed if any downtime does occur.
[October 2012 – April 2015]
The Copy and Print center is a challenging but exciting department to work. There are many things to learn and many different ways to do things. It requires great customer service and ability to communicate to the customer about different products and ways of doing things. The Office Supplies department stays on the sales floor. I help customers with their questions, help locate the items they are looking for, and even bring out the heavier items to their vehicles. As cashier I help check customers out while also informing them of current deals and making sure they are getting the most for their money. I worked 3 different locations, Athens, Madison, and South Huntsville.
