Assisted in coordinating U.S. Congressional visits (CODEL) to Bolivia by preparing the Congressmen travel arrangements and organizing speaking engagements and meetings, with foreign and national leaders, on their behalf. Corresponded with Bolivia’s Foreign Relations Ministry regarding a number of issues affecting U.S. Foreign Service employees, such as updates to Bolivia’s employment and education laws applicable to diplomats and their families. Drafted intra-office memoranda and reports on a variety of issues, including safety of employees during Bolivia’s popular uprisings, as well as other general office and administrative subjects. Prepared the embassy’s employee time and attendance report for the concerned managers, including the Financial Manager, the Information Manager, the Regional Medical Manager, the Human Resources Manager, and Community Liaison Manager. Procured office supplies for the embassy’s management department. Maintained the embassy’s Official File concerning all management notices, policies and procedures, and security advisories. Kept the Counselor’s calendar and arranged meetings on his behalf. Performed general administrative duties for the management department, including but not limited to answering phones, sorting mail, screening visitors, following up on outstanding responses to correspondence, and providing receptionist services.
