Performed a R&D study with the number of people to develop automation for plywood manufacturing plant and came up with the concept of auto loading and unloading system which helped to reduce the cost per piece by 20% and the total energy used during heating and cooling upto 25% by reducing idle time and loading-unloading time, eliminating the cold press (which reduced cost upto $20K). Calculated how it incorporates with press in production line, time when different parts come in operation. Designed a whole system including a material handling structure, gear mechanisms, guiding systems etc. Successfully designed electrical circuit using AutoCAD Electrical to control this system using vaious devices such as proximity sensors, photo switches, motors etc. Presented this system at various tech-exhibition. Invention of this auto loading and unloading system benifitted the employer to built a good reputation in plywood manufacturing market and increased its profit by 10% compared to last year.
