Skills and Abilities
Human Relations and Communications
Self-directed individual that thrives at customer service tasks. During my employ with SkyWest Airline, I showed the initiative in helping passengers that were not able to take their flight out because of bad weather by rebooking them on the next available flight, registering them with a hotel and giving them discount vouchers for their next flight on Sky West Airlines.
Work well with others in a group setting. From working in the service deli, we needed to work together in order to prepare food items correctly and in a timely manner it was imperative to listen, follow directions and use team work in order to accomplish a shared goal.
Able to communicate directions and lead in a variety of projects. As a manager found that it is important to speak with employees in a manner that they will understand and in a way that get them to act without me having to tell them, especially with inspections.
Able to mediate between teenagers and parents. By asking each person to put themselves in the others position, if they understood what was being said and if they hard heard what the other is saying I was able to defuse heated conversations.
Possess and use active listening skills. I have learned that b using these tools, people know that I am listening to them intently and summarize statements which help them feel worthwhile.
