JAMES A. YOUNG
I was born and raised in Gary, Indiana. After public school education, I attended Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH. After a few years of early work experience I attended the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and received my MBA in 1977. I worked for Price Waterhouse in San Francisco and earned my C.P.A. license in California. I had subsequent work experience at Syntex Corporation in Palo Alto. Also I was Assistant Controller for Trident Microsystems and MarketTools and worked in Mexico, Europe and Asia. I am a current member of the Board of Directors of the Dartmouth Alumni Club of Silicon Valley and a former member of the Board of Directors of Avenidas and the Arthritis Foundation of Northern California.
After being sponsored by Bill Alhouse, I joined the Rotary Club of Palo Alto in 1990 and was an active member through 2012. In 2012 I relocated to Scottsdale, Arizona. While in Scottsdale, I was an adjunct faculty member at Scottsdale Community College where I taught financial and managerial accounting and tutored students in those subjects. I returned to the Peninsula in the fall of 2015 and now reside in Mountain View.
