March, 2018

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am a Mechanical Engineering graduate from the University of California San Diego

(September 2007) with nine years experience in the manufacturing industry. I am presently seeking a position to further my career in the manufacturing industry. During the course of my education and employment I developed a strong foundation in computer-aided design and analysis. While working at B & H Manufacturing I gained considerable experience with ASME Y14.5 dimensioning and tolerancing. I was responsible for detailed fabrication drawings of precision high speed labeling machinery and assisted in writing the machine operation manual. At Pacific Southwest Container I have continued to develop my leadership and teamwork skills by taking charge of the company's preventative maintenance (PM) program. I had the opportunity to design and implement the Thermal Imaging Inspection program for the maintenance department, and was responsible for documenting all machine safety hazards for the newly formulated Lock-out/Tag-out program. I was introduced to the field of mineral processing and bulk material handling at Searles Valley Minerals and continued to grow in that field at CalPortland Cement Company. I took charge of various plant projects, carrying them from the design proposal stage all the way to installation, while coordinating closely with maintenance and operations teams in a fast paced and high-intensity environment. I was also responsible for writing Root Cause Failure Analysis reports and monitoring equipment uptime. I continued to grow my engineering and management skills at Oldcastle Enclosure Solutions. If your organization has an interest in my skills and experience, please contact me at your earliest convenience. I am available for an immediate interview, and am open as to the employment location. Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Tim McCarville
