Matlab/Simulink, Solidworks, AutoCAD, GD&T, ANSYS (FEA), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), Linux, Python, 3D printing, electronics
Experience:
ASU Micro Air Vehicles Club – Structural Engineer (September 2014 – November 2016)
The MAV club designs and builds autonomous drones with emphasis on aerodynamics.
Iteratively designed custom quadrotor frames in Solidworks with adequate properties within form and weight limitations.
Tesla - Equipment Safety Intern (May 2017 – August 2017)
Member of the Ergonomics and Equipment Safety Team in the EHS department at Tesla.
Responsibilities included:
Creating robot cell safety standards (OSHA & RIA compliant) to save time during the design phase and risk assessments.
Working closely with a team of interns to validate and test the viability of an ergonomic exoskeleton on sections the manufacturing line.
Center for Bio-mediated Bio-inspired Geotechnics (CBBG) – Undergraduate Research Assistant (October 2017 - present)
Assisted in PhD research in Geotechnical Engineering conducted experiments for testing chemically treated soil samples.
Contributed to designing and building a rainfall simulator testing facility for erosion control research. Designed to ASTM spec.
Projects:
Raspberry Pi Quadcopter (Summer 2015 - present)
Used Python to program the control logic on a Raspberry Pi microcontroller.
Designed the fame and hardware in AutoCAD and laser cut the frame out of wood.
Reduced excessive vibration using digital noise cancelling, and passive dampers, as well as by improving the structural integrity of the frame.
Senior Design Project – Project Lead (August 2017 - present)
Designed a pressurized CO2 based counter-IED device.
Design applied Thermodynamic analysis, structural analysis, and FEA to come up with a solution that was both lighter weight and safer than contemporary military devices.
