Project
Customer Identification Program (CIP) - is very high visibility project with mandatory regulatory obligations for Morgan Stanley. The regulatory policies of various jurisdictions are coded as rules which are stored in database for application reference. The Rules engine reads these rules and classifies various Party into jurisdictions and if CIP program applies to them considering any exceptions. The party are also ranked for RISK. Based on the jurisdiction and Risk, data and document needs are generated and their subsequent fulfilment for compliance is calculated and certified.
I was part of the initial Proof of concept project, ILLUME data warehouse, where we developed rule engine to process the rules and store the CIP complete status and generate the reports to business users. The project was a success and our user base has increased with wider regulatory programs being covered. TCS team are the primary Subject Matter experts for these rules implementation.
