Project Title: ‘To Avoid or Eliminate Micro cracks In Stud and Vent Holes of the Wheel Disc’

Sponsored by ‘KALYANI MAXION WHEELS PRIVATE LIMITED.’ Chakan

Description:

The objective of our project is to avoid or eliminate the cracks in stud and vent hole of the wheel disc. The present case there is cracks in some wheels. It has the drawback that if there is a crack in some of the wheels then the whole lot is rejected from the buyer. To reduce these drawbacks we studied various parameters which would be responsible for the cracks in wheel. It helps partially to reduce the cracks and in some cases these are eliminated. This has increased the trust of buyer in product.

Mini project:

Title : Pneumatic bumper.

Objective: To clarify the concept of hydraulics and pneumatics.

Technical Skills

Software Known : AutoCad, Catia, Ansys, Mastercam

Achievements

Secured 2nd position in event ISO-WAR at ‘MECHXIMUS 14’. A national level technical fest conducted on 26th august 2014.
