ESSEN INDUSTRIES, Hyderabad, India

Design and manufacture of Industrial ventilation (HVAC) fans and blowers such as Cyclones, Axial flow fans, centrifugal fans and valves such as ball valves, butterfly valves, based on customer requirements and with cost effectiveness. My role is to design and draft the drawings, analyze stresses on components and inspect final product. Mechanical Design Engineer 04/2013 – 05/2015

Study specifications of customers data and analyze the details of the product.

Met with client and customers to review product specifications and define project scopes of work.

Creating detail schedule of process for design and product development and reduced inventory cost and layover cost by 10%.

Develop 2D drawings of ventilation fans, blowers using Auto CAD.

Converting 2D drawings to 3D drawings using Solid works.

Improved production rate by reducing redrawing of designs in effective and well organized way.

Helped team in Documenting the overall design process.

Worked closely with Manufacturing team in solving design queries. Mechanical Drafter 04/2012 – 04/2013

Drafted Industrial Ventilation Cooling systems for various projects.

Developed engineering drawings through Auto CAD and Solid works.

Provided complete details on CAD modeling along with Tolerance (ASME Y14.5) and Part designs.

Released CAD drawings along with Bill of Materials to Manufacturing floor. ACADAMIC BACKGROUND

CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY, NORTHRIDGE, Northridge, CA 05.2017 Master of Sciences: Mechanical Engineering GPA: 3.4/4 Courses: Design of composites, Failure Analysis, Automotive Engineering, Computer-Aided Design of Machinery, Principles of Material engineering & lab, Seminar in Engineering Analysis. ANDHRA UNIVERISTY, Vishakhapatnam, India 11.2011

Bachelor of Sciences: Mechanical Engineering GPA: 3.7/4 Courses: Fluid Mechanics, Strength of Materials, Electrical Technology & Lab, Heat & Mass transfer. ACADAMIC PROJECTS

Design and Analysis of single cylinder engine:

o Modeled engine using Solid works.

o Obtained various parameters such as Velocity, Acceleration from COSMOS simulation and compared them with MATLAB for consistency.

o Performed stress analysis and thermal analysis on different parts of engine using FEA. o Reduced the thickness wherever possible without compromising on engine performance and reduced overall weight and cost reduction.

o Automated the process with VBA (Visual Basics for Applications) for reduced thickness and obtaining the results through MATLAB.

o Obtained optimal solution of the engine design by VBA and performed stress analysis on that connecting rod for failure points.

Design of 4 stroke 4-cylinder engine:

o Designed 4-cylinder engine using Catia V5.

o Calculated various pressures and forces acting on cylinder at each crank angle from 00 to 3600. o Performed stress and thermal analysis on connecting rod and piston using “Engine Student”. o Compared Pressures, shaking forces and other important data generated from Engine student with MATLAB equations.

Comparing regular materials with composite materials. o Calculated stresses on regular material (steel) and composite materials at different angles. o Estimated total cost of the design for using regular material and composite material. o Determined stress and failure points for regular material and composite material using NASTRAN CAD.

Performed heat treatment on Titanium Ti-6Al-4V

o Observed changes in Physical and Mechanical properties of Titanium with respect to temperature and time.

o Strength, stiffness and failure points are calculated using Tensile tester, Metallurgical microscope, Scanning Electron Microscope and Rockwell hardness tester. o Failure of Titanium under different temperatures are observed and root cause analysis for failure is noted.

Kinematic analysis and Modeling of excavator

o Design and developed excavator using Solidworks sheet metal. o Calculated Positions, Velocity and acceleration of excavator arm at different crack angles. o Computed stress analysis on excavator arm at different angles and compared them with MATLAB. SKILLS
