JOB RESPONSIBILITY

Maintenance of post graduate practical laboratories.

Handling of laboratory equipments, complete preventive maintenance and Maintaining an inventory of all chemicals, glasswares, plastic ware and other supplies receive, amount used and stock records on hand on a daily basis.

Keeping in track of all consumables major and minor equipment related to practical work.

Assisting professors and faculties, post graduate students practical with preparation of required solutions, calibration of pH metres and maintenance of log books of instruments.

Ensuring all operations in laboratories are in full compliance with current health and safety regulations at all times.

Ensuring all safety hoods and fume hoods are clean prepared for use under sterile conditions when needed for research teams / students.

Practicals are related to various disciplines of biotechnology : plant tissue culture, immunology, genetic engineering, plan physiology, bio molecules, enzyme kinetics, animal cell culture etc.

Helped in workshops conducted in the department.
