Materials Manger (MP&L)

Manage the daily functions of the materials coordinators to ensure customer demands are being met by ensuring the materials arrive on time to support the production floor processes guaranteeing the final product will be completed in time to meet the ship schedule.

Responsible for the activities of the materials group as a whole, this consists of the shipping/receiving department, material handlers, material coordinators, and buyers.

Oversee the MRO crib and all inventories related to the production process, this includes all tooling and maintenance spend.

Control of all inventory including raw material, WIP, MRB, and finished goods. Maintain adequate levels to keep inventory dollars in check while being able to support customer demands,

Work closely with the production managers to keep head count in check and stabilize the work force in support of the production requirements.

Provide weekly production schedules to best utilize manpower and control overtime expenditures.

Interact with suppliers and customers on a daily basis, open line of communication to help foresee changes in the schedule and provide adequate reaction time to keep product demands current.
