2013 to 2018, Area Manager/Project Manager, Masterson Staffing Solutions

As a Project Manager I fulfilled most every Operations role in the company. The primary role was to secure talent for any of the clients in the area. Based on need I functioned as On Site Manager, Branch Manager, Regional Operations Resource, Trainer, Payroll Administrator and Employee Relations Manager. As On Site Manger I responsible for staffing of 3 major clients with placement of up to 100 temporary employees at any one time. I was ultimately responsible for recruiting, onboarding and managing this contingent labor force for the duration of each project. Masterson Staffing continues to be in a state of evolution and my role was to facilitate change and to work in conjunction with Area Management to fulfill client needs and to grow the market share of the company.

As Area Manager supervising 5 offices in Wisconsin and Illinois I am responsible for overseeing the customer service for Clients in my Area. This includes compiling Client information, analyzing Client needs, touring Client sites and developing business relationships. I am also responsible for determining the best course of action for the Branch and On-Site Managers in regards to scheduling, training and development, problem resolution, performance reviews, coaching and progressive discipline up to and including termination. I am ultimately responsible for recruiting for the office staffs and for making discretionary hiring decisions. A major part of my responsibility is for adherence to state and federal law and Company Standard Operating Procedures.

2010 - 2013, Store Manager, Gordmans Department Stores

As General Manager of a 45,000 sq ft retail store generating in excess of $8 million in annual sales, I have been responsible for driving sales, managing expenses, staffing training and providing a great shopping experience. Additionally I have acted in the capacity of District Administrative Assistant, Training and District Process Management. Successes include reducing annual shrink by nearly 50%, best payroll control in the District and achieving sales results that exceeded that of the Company average.

2002 – 2010 District Manager, Steve and Barry’s

Began as a Store Manager and held the position of District Manager for 4 years. Most recently responsible for a District of 12 Stores in both rural and urban markets ranging in size from 20K to 70K square feet. Annual Sales volume of the District is approximately $50 Million. Responsibilities included hiring and training of Store Management, payroll and expense management, analyzing each location to determine sales opportunities and maintaining exceptional merchandise presentations in each location. The company has since gone out of business.

1997 - 2001 Store Team Leader, Target Stores

I was Store Team Leader (General Manager) of two Target Stores ranging in volume from $24 Million to $32 Million in yearly sales. Store employee base ranged from 140 to 250 Team Members. Responsible for all areas of the operation including; budgeting, staffing, expense control, implementation of corporate programs, training, driving sales.

1992 - 1997 General Manager, Value City Department Stores

I functioned in the capacity of General Manger in charge of all aspects of the operation of a $20 Million full line Department Store. Responsibilities include budgeting, training, oversee staffing, cash control, shrinkage control and analyzing of P&L Statements. As a result of my Leadership, shrinkage was reduced to less than 1.1% of sales, associate turnover was reduced and profitability increased.

1981 - 1992 Management, Child World Toy Stores

I held positions of Store Manager, District Manager, Corporate New Stores Coordinator, and Corporate Manager of New Store Projects. Successfully managed a District of 10 - 12 stores in Chicago and surrounding markets.
