DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reviews drawings, construction plans, permit requirements, Company’s contracts with Other Contractors and specifications to verify complete with project requirements.

Performs visual inspections of all Project construction activities on a daily basis to verify conformance to the drawings and specifications for each Inspector’s functional area.

Produces a daily report of the work performed by Other Contractors, inspection Services completed, and deficiencies or deviations noted on a Company provided Daily Progress Report template, or Company approved alternative.

Witnesses Other Contractors’ pre-commission tests and/or equipment calibration prior to installation.

Verifies that all inspection records/quality documents and relevant Project documents produced by Contractor and/or Other Contractors are maintained and archived according to the project Requirements service.

To carry out reporting, recording and investigation of Quality reports of piping works.

Overall day-to-day supervision of piping, prefabrication, erection & testing.

Examine mechanical installations, instrumentation, valves, and fittings for defects such as cracks, corrosion, leakage, and poor workmanship

Manage all pipeline /piping related welding at site/shop.

Implementation of QA/QC activities at work site including those of sub-contractors works in accordance with approved QCP /ITPs and Procedures, method statements and other contract documents.

Receiving inspection of project materials.

Inspect and sign off the fit-up, cleaning and welding related reports.

Attend stage wise witness and hold points as per approved ITP.

Record and report inspection data

Inspect joints for visible defects, correct dimensions, joint strength, bead formation, weld penetration, and conformance with layout, drawings, and work order specifications

Apply knowledge of welding principles and metallurgical properties

Verify alignment and dimensions of product and set-up of machines used for the Work

Examine joints for hidden cracks and pits using magnaflux machine and ultrasonic testing equipment, when required.

Authorized to make decisions regarding job execution in appropriate manner in consultation with site management and the client.

Ensure completion of piping systems as per defined targets as per action plans.

To carry out regular quality inspection in order to suggest remedies and enforcing the same to remove sub-standard conditions and sub-standard actions.

Responsible for following/ complying OHSE Management System Requirement in the assigned area.

Reporting any OHSE deviations in time to respective supervisors.

Ensure safety procedures at all phases of work with due seriousness.

Maintaining highest quality standards to meet customer satisfaction.

Organizing for Client’s inspection and maintaining inspection records.

Liaison with client and sub-contractors/suppliers for material/work inspection.

Awareness about ISO standard /Quality Management System.

Review test packs, verify the compliance and witnessing pressure and leak testing.

Attending daily progress meeting with EPC contractor and highlight any issues and concerns related to civil activities.

Checking and certifying red mark up and final as built drawings.

Provide sufficient feedback to QA/QC Engineer on the day to day quality issues.

Supervises fitting and assembly of structural frames.

Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
