SKILLS & ABILITIES
My skills consist of PD, frames, bifocal segment height, progressive fitting height measurements, calculating vertical and horizontal decentration and minimum blank size (MBS). Reading, writing, as well as transposing the RX for single vision, computer, bifocal, and progressive lenses. I am trained in the use of the Lensometer, pupilometer, layout blocker, edger and auto refractor. I am also knowledgeable in contact lens fitting, frame and lens material, adjustments, lens tinting and lens features such as transitions, photochromic lenses, AR coating, UV protection, scratch resistant coating, and dispensing of contact lenses and spectacles.

Providing optical services for patients to fit their needs, duties include but not limited to taking measurements of the frame, pupillary distance, optic center height and verifying the lens prescription is correct. Daily I schedule appointments for our Optometrist, and pull insurance authorizations for exams as well as materials. Other retail duties include helping patients order frames, lenses, contact lenses, and cash handling.
