2008 - Present
Anal Corp. - Winona, MS - Group Leader over welding manufacturing and forming department. Responsible for scheduling all work for fourteen welding lines and three forming machines. This includes twenty-four welders, three forming technichans, one material handler, and two team leaders.
Reduced welding supply inventory by 70% by using centralized location and only issued by Group leaders or Team leaders. Implemented cross training system to ensure that we could still meet production goals. Implemented pull and just in time system to ensure that when a welder finished the order he was on, his next order was ready to move into his work cell. Held a five till meeting everyday to make sure any company information is communicated to everyone. Improved weld quality on first pass, by having Team leaders check product as it is being welded. Faclitated two Kaisens for the KOM Fuel and Hydraulic lines, to improve production. This consisted of re-organizing the whole departement and changing all current procedures. This also lead to creating information boards in each area to track certain KPIs that pertain to each area. Such as tracking by month any accidents, production hours versas hours worked, any quality concerns and alerts, training matrixs, safety committee members, and general plant information.
2004 - August, 2007
Hamlin Sheet Metal - Greenwood, MS - Oversee 24 employees in a day to day production of commercial air conditioning duct. Responsible for all human resource and safety functions. Also, maintiained truck driver DVR and trip sheets. Implemented system to cut down handling the duct by checking as it is made and loading directly on to the truck.
2002 - 2004
Johnson Controls - Madison, MS - Production Supervisor. Oversee production for the 2005 Nissan Altima rear seat line. Handled any manufacturing and qualtiy issues directly with Nissan liasion. Also, trained new supervisors and team leaders of the other seat lines. Created a rotation system to keep team memebers from doing the the same job all day. This helped to increase production and have all team members cross trained. Worked with other Supervisors and team leaders on improving their sense of urgency to maintain their production goals.
1999 - 2002
Irvin Automotive - Greenwood, MS - Production Superintendent. Oversee production of 6 sun visor lines, which included production scheduling, maintaining effciency reports, approving all purchase orders, and keeping expense reports.Worked with supervisors on how important the JIT and first in first out sytem needs to be maintained to meet our prodution goals and keep our shipping percentage at 95 %.
1985- 1999
Ballcamp, Inc - Greenwood, MS - Asst. Plant Manager and Traffic Manger. Oversee all aspects of plant functions. Over all incoming and outgoing freight. Supervised 7 comany drivers, which included scheduling, checking DVR and trip sheets, drug testing, and fleet inspections. Maintained a 97% order fill rate for our customers by making sure we kept our incoming stock put up. Making sure our inventory was correct by refreshing our surplus locations on a daily basis. Checked on our driver ineraction with our customers by making a trip once a month with a different driver. Working in a different departement, with a different team member once a week to see if there was anything they needed or issues thet needed to be worked on.
