Accounts Assistant
I have worked for around 16 years with Speedy Auto Service as an Accounts Assistant, reporting directly to the President. The company has 15 auto service centers in the Greater Detroit area, approx. 90 employees, and annual revenues around $10 million. The company has recently been sold to Monroe Muffler - a New York based chain, and the administration is expected to move to Rochester, NY within a couple of months.
My responsibilities at Speedy include:
Accounts Payable – including payments to vendors, utilities, sales and property taxes
Book Keeping & Daily Updates – for each of the 15 shops including daily updates with respect to Sales, Cash, Checks & Credit Card Receipts, Bank Deposits
Generation of Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Reports for Management
Payroll Administration – with Paychex on a weekly basis - including wages, performance incentives, deductions etc., with Paychex
General Administration including interaction with employees and vendors
