On contract for a National Technical Services Consulting firm creating Conceputal Designs, Detailed Designs and Production level Drawings utilizing ASME Y14.5 GD&T with Creo 2.0 & 3.0 for billet machined components, as well as cast parts.

Representing Consulting firm by interfacing with automotive Internal Combustion Engine client based in San Diego, supporting multiple programs with shifting priorities.

Sr. Design Engineer • Northrop Grumman • Redondo Beach, CA • May 2015 – November 2017

Thermal Blankets BUS lead design engineer on NASA Space Telescope from concept to integration.

Developed plans to meet demanding program integration schedule by interfacing with integration and sub-system hardware teams.

Supported requirements changes, design updates and successful on time delivery and integration of thermal blanket multilayer insulation onto hardware.

Designed optical bench components (multi-position fold mirror) and kinematic adjustable optic mounts for thermal vacuum testing, including tolerance analysis in support of optical tolerances. Prepared and presented TMOS MLI Thermal Blankets Critical Design Review package to Customer.

R&D and qualified 30 layer Thermal Blanket test article validating the laser cutting fabrication process, significantly improving Raytheon’s high performance thermal blanket fabrication capabilities.
