Beeline Inc, Chicago, IL 2012 to 2017

Director of Professional Services and Systems Integration Built the integration and finance implementation teams of over 30 people for the Beeline SaaS application following the CEO's vision of the direction for the company. Mapped processes using Waterfall and Agile methodologies, creating all of the standard documents and templates. Hired and trained team members on project management so that both teams used the same standardized process and terminology. Coached and mentored individuals on consulting skills, project management and PMP certification, time tracking and budget management. Trained individuals from business analyst, application architect, team lead to department director.

The processes were from post sales to deployment and support and maintenance. The implementation process was then deployed as the standard implementation process across the company. The new processes resulted in greater productivity per team member, much higher morale and team cohesion and career growth. Implemented a process to size and type projects to ensure the correct type and number of resources were assigned to projects.

Lead large global business and development teams in a matrix environment and provide cross-functional oversight of domains such as application development, solution architecture, business analysis, testing, release management, and project management following diverse software delivery methodologies including Agile and Waterfall.

Managed the budget for the departments, many external projects and internal design and development projects. This included SOW creation, project budget tracking, ROI and Profit and Loss statements.

Worked with clients and trained internal teams on how to design client systems for global deployment. This resulted in a better design for the clients and a faster global rollout of the Beeline application and ensured customer satisfaction with the final design.

Designed new B2B standard integrations and API's using flat file, XML, SOAP and RESTful standards and other integration tools with AS2, FTP, SFTP, Web Services for SAP, Peoplesoft, JDEdwards, Workday, EDI, legacy systems etc. This included new standard integrations for HR, financial, identity management, time tracking, ERP, payroll, etc. Guided the teams on how to manage clients to adopt the new standards.

Reduced the level of custom development which reduced the deployment time by 40% and directly affected revenue generation. Updated the current standard integrations. Improved the overall documentation and error handling process.

SAP FIELDGLASS, INC., Chicago, IL 2001 to 2011

Hired to build the SAP Fieldglass systems integration department from scratch. Fieldglass was a startup and at the time had no implementation procedures, standard integrations or trained personnel. All clients were requesting systems integration as part of the implementation. Designed all the standard integrations, documentation, implementation processes, hired and trained personnel to implement the Fieldglass application and standard integrations. Also mapped out the processes to deploy custom integrations. The company went from pure custom development deployments to standardized deployments which reduced the development effort by 70%, shortened deployment times by 40% which directly affected revenues. All of the standards implemented are now known as industry standards in the VMS space.

Developed the organizational structure within the professional services department and all process and procedures for implementing and integration of the Fieldglass InSite application for all client projects

Created the program to teach junior members project management skills following industry standard project management methodology.

Assisted in the design of the Fieldglass InSite software solution for integrations and built the current standard set of connectors. These standard integrations have now become the industry standard in the VMS space
