PROJECTS
Troubleshooting of Brake Drum Crack problem
Studied the possible reasons for the brake drum crack in heavy-duty trucks based on their application, design requirements and performance evaluation for brakes.
Calculated break torque, loads and stress with consideration of Brake Ratio and Weight Transfer.
Calculated stopping distance and its variation depending on the modifications in design factors are simulated in MS EXCEL.
Calculation of Roll Center Height using the Hard Point Data
Calculated roll center height in MS EXCEL using the hard point data and is observed that the Roll center height varies with the Lower wishbone rear bush point.
Understeer Gradient Project
Simulated constant radius turn on two vehicles and compared the results to understand the dynamics of the vehicle.
Conducted accelerometer test at various levels of lateral acceleration. Plotted graphs for steering wheel angle vs Lateral acceleration, Understeer Gradient vs Lateral acceleration on MS EXCEL and benchmarked to understand their behavior.
Calculation of Design Parameters of a Quarter Vehicle Model Suspension
Calculated the stiffness of a fictitious spring and its Natural frequency.
Recalculated the natural frequency of the spring along with Ride Rate (including tire stiffness) in MS EXCEL.
Design and Fabrication of Automotive Mechanical Control System for a Formula Hybrid Car
Designed, analyzed and fabricated an economical yet effective control system for hybrid formula race car.
Design and simulation have been carried out in CATIA V5 and ANSYS.
