Volunteer child advocate in the Guardian ad Litem program and, performed as acting program supervisor for three months while supervisor was on Maternity Leave.
Responsible to investigate any new child cases from Department of Social Services in Buncombe County, NC. Role also included facilitating, advocating for the child, monitor the program that involved the child, and always maintain confidentiality for the child in the case and the family involved. Attended court hearings for the child and gave feedback to the court the progress of the child and the birth family as well as the foster family, and made recommendations to the court what seemed the best outcome for the child’s safety and development.
2004 – 2012 Senior RN Manager for Operations of Kaiser Permanente Advice and Appointment Call Center San Jose, California
Role of the Senior RN Manager is to oversee the clinical aspects and performance of the RN staff, and that policies and procedure were met by all RNs and clerical staff at the San Jose Appointment and Advice Call Center. Also, responsible for the workplace safety of all employees at the Call Center; and worked closely with RN and Clerical unions to address any concerns and grievances they may have. Monitored the clinical performance of all RN staff, after they were oriented and trained to take member calls.
Addressed the annual budget for the Call Center and clinical needs of the nursing staff to be able to provide quality care to the Kaiser member.
2001 2004 Director of Clinical Quality Program at the Kaiser Permanente Medical Group Appointments and Advice Call Center, San Jose, California
Role as Director was to maintain and monitor the integrity of the policies and procedures of the Call Center, and to assure that the clinical appointments and advice given to Kaiser the member did no harm to the patient/member or compromise quality given by Kaiser Permanente.
