Dear Hiring Manager,

Let me introduce myself, my name is Morgan Bennett and I am originally from Anchorage, Alaska and moved to Oklahoma in the summer of 2014. I have been in the Customer Service field for over 15 years in a variety of jobs as you will see in my resume that is attached to this cover Letter. I feel based on my experience in my work history and personal experience I would be a great asset to your company.

To tell you a little more about my work experience, I have always been a punctual and reliable employee, and when I have had to miss work I have always given plenty of notice to my supervisor. I would consider myself a fast learner when it comes to all of the training I have received and I am not afraid of asking for more help if needed. In my past employment I have worked very well in situations with little to no supervision to being part of a team to get something done. I am proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) and I am always eager to learn new technology and business systems. I also feel based on my past experiences personally and professionally I am a great multi tasked as well as patient individual if the job requires those skills. I am also a Notary Public and my commission expires July 20, 2020.

As I have said before I have included my resume as well as my letters of recommendation from a variety of past supervisors If you have questions for me, please do not hesitate to contact me through either phone or email.

Thank you in advance for your time and consideration, and I look forward to hearing from you to set up a time and date for an interview.

Subject: Reference for Morgan Bennett

Dear Hiring Manager,

If you are reading this reference letter, I imagine that you are strongly considering Morgan as a candidate for employment. I would encourage you to take Morgan’s application seriously. Morgan has worked as an Executive Assistant at ClearRidge since August, 2014. She has been very well liked in our office and a good fit with our team. Unfortunately, due to her recent relocation to Harrah, we came to realize that such a long commute would ultimately become an unnecessary strain and so we set a timeline for Morgan to find another position closer to her new home. ClearRidge is the leading Investment Banking and Corporate Finance firm in our state and consequently, Morgan has had to operate in what can be a stressful and demanding environment. She has risen to the challenge, has been a great employee and is trustworthy and dependable. While her primary role has been to support Bruce and myself, she also keeps the office in order, assists in client projects and coordinates with all members of our ClearRidge team. Morgan has a strong work ethic and is adaptable to new tasks and new situations., I feel that Morgan would be a great fit for your needs. Her work experience, strong references and personal attributes should make her a leading candidate for many executive and administrative assistant positions.

It was a pleasure getting to know Morgan and having her as part of our ClearRidge family and we will miss her when she’s gone. I would encourage you to call me with any questions you may have. In the meantime, I wish you all the best with your selection process. Matthew Bristow

To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing a recommendation on behalf of Morgan Bennett. Morgan was a former co- worker of mine from August 2012 through April 2014. We worked more closely together starting in February 2013. During the time when we shared an office and job title, she was punctual, efficient, and very motivated. Our former company, Mikunda, Cottrell & Co. was bought out by BDO, and she handled a stressful transition with fluidity and grace. Her personality was easy-going and kind, but her work ethic was even more outstanding. I always knew I could depend on her, which is a true testament to her character under extreme stress of changing nearly every aspect of our job and workflow while supporting an audit staff of 60+ employees.

I had about three years more experience in the position when Morgan came to it, transferring from reception. She was the quickest person I have trained, asking appropriate questions and following through with her work. She handled challenging demands, different personalities, and shifting priorities very well. I appreciated her dedication to her work. Our position is referred to as the company “bottleneck,” every financial statement passed through us to ensure quality formatting, confidentiality, and professional client care with delivering the final product. She took constructive criticism very well, and was also confident enough to voice her opinion on how better to aid the department. Because this position can be demanding, many administrative assistants are unwilling to pursue this long- term.

She left in April 2014 to a position with the Boys and Girls Club in order to gain more administrative experience and to be closer to her son while he was in day care. If I could staff our entire department with people like Morgan I know we would we operate to our highest potential. I am sad that she is leaving Alaska but know that she will provide a valuable asset to any company she seeks employment with. Sincerely,

Katie Bergstrom
