Partner Reinsurance Company of the U.S. (PartnerRe US) is a property & casualty reinsurance company with premiums of $1.6 billion and a statutory surplus over $1.3 billion. It is authorized to write business in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Canada. PartnerRe US is the principal North American operating company of the PartnerRe Group.

Accountable for all accounting, treasury and financial functions including review and analysis of consolidated financial statements for the North American entities in the PartnerRe Group on both a US GAAP and local statutory basis.

Served on executive team that played a pivotal role in identifying and implementing tactical and strategic solutions for standardization of the PartnerRe Group Finance processes.

Led North America Finance task team following the acquisition of the Presidio Group of companies (Accident & Health) in December 2012. Successfully integrated and consolidated the company under the PartnerRe Group’s North America operations.

Successfully integrated the Company’s Canadian Branch office in Montreal and a Delaware domestic insurance subsidiary, headquartered in Miami, FL, into PartnerRe’s North American operations subsequent to the acquisition of both companies from ParisRe.

Reorganized the structure and processes of the PartnerRe US Reinsurance Accounting department strategically aligning its activities with the Business Unit underwriters resulting in improved and immediate feedback to underwriting and substantially increased client support.

Implemented disciplined finance and accounting controls critical to complying with Sarbanes-Oxley and the NAIC Model Audit Rule throughout the North American operations.

Managed the scope, fees and audit work of our external auditors, Deloitte & Touché and the state insurance regulators of New York and Delaware.

Initiated a Finance Roundtable across global entities to insure consistency and sharing of best practices, policies and procedures across the PartnerRe Group, worldwide.

Executive member of the Financial Security and Retrocession Committee for the PartnerRe Group, ensuring financial adequacy of client’s financial condition.

Executive member of the Investment Committee for the North American Operations, ensuring investment compliance with the investment regulations and guidelines.

Executive member of the Risk-Transfer Committee in evaluating certain underwriting contracts to ensure proper accounting treatment.
