WORK EXPERIENCE

Wipro Technologies, Bangalore, India Dec 2013 - Jul 2016

Data Analyst

Managed end to end analytical projects from hypothesis formation, Data collection (ETL), to Modeling, Optimization, and Presentation.

Handled large amounts of unstructured and structured Healthcare data effectively and performed analyses using software such as R and Python.

Identified and interpreted trends and patterns in complex data sets.

Developed and implemented databases, data collection systems that optimize statistical efficiency and quality. (SQL, SAS)

Conducted exploratory analyses with methodologies ranging from data mining and visualization to more sophisticated statistical modeling techniques.

Created Mathematical models, Machine Learning Algorithms and used statistical techniques to optimize the product growth rate. Also created predictive models to drive future results.

Communicated the findings through intuitive Data visualization using Story points and Dashboards (Tableau, Spotfire, Excel, R).

Windchill Developer and Data Migration

Customized Windchill UI(Java), configured the application as per business needs and performed the business validation at different levels.

Created advanced lifecycles for products and Workflow templates. Created change requests (DCR) and change orders (DCO) for the products based on the user stories.

Performed Data migration using Windchill Bulk Migrator, JDBC, and SQL.

Analyzed and processed the data acquired from the clients using ETL techniques, R programming and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, offset, Pivot tables, VBA).

Developed dashboard reports in Tableau & Spotfire to visualize findings & Predictive Analytics.

Created complex SQL queries and scripts to aggregate data and loaded the processed data to Windchill DB. Automated the data backup of Windchill using Stored procedures in SQL Developer.

Research Assistant - University at Buffalo Data Analysis on Remanufactured Products Apr 2017 - Dec 2017

Analyzed the potential drivers (market determinants) of price differentials between new and remanufactured products by developing multivariate models. Acquired Data across 13 different Consumer Electronics Categories from the Amazon.com and eBay.com for both Remanufactured Products and their corresponding New products. Initial data cleaning was done using excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, conditional formatting, Data Analysis excel tools etc.)

Explored the data by using R programming & writing complex SQL queries. Performed statistical analysis using SPSS.

Implemented Empirical analysis by means of linear regression to spot the presence of collinearity among the explanatory variables.

Used R to find the Ordinary Least Squares regression of price differential on the explanatory variables and to find the relation between variables.

Developed SQL queries(joins) in Tableau to validate static and dynamic data for data validation. Created interactive dashboards in Tableau to create reports and to visualize the trend and impact of the potential variables which determines the Price Differential.

PROJECTS

Predictive Analysis on Lending Club Loan Data Sep 2017 - Dec 2017

The focus of this project is to identify the key factors to be considered for future loan allocation. Performed EDA to develop insights on the data set acquired from Lending Club. Cleaned the Data and created data models using Machine Learning Algorithms such as Logistic regression, LDA, QDA, Classification Tree, Random Forest, SVM, xgBoost to predict the loan status. Compared the performance of these algorithms through metrics such as accuracy, error, ROC curve and confusion matrix and predicted the factors for loan allocation.

Min-Cost Travelling Salesman Problem with Drone(TSP-D) Feb 2017 - May 2017

Focused on reducing the total transportation cost pertained in distributing goods using truck and drone across logistic networks. Implemented the GRASP heuristic in python to obtain a min cost TSP-D solution. Improved the obtained TSP-D solution by using the local search operators. Also created a GUROBI model for TSP solution without drone and compared with the results obtained from GRASP heuristic and observed that there is 18.3% decrease in the cost. Applied this algorithm in New Jersey, Used MapQuest API to calculate the distances and animated the optimized truck and drone path on a map using python and JavaScript.

Prediction of Carpooling in NYC for Reduced Congestion Feb 2017 - May 2017

Acquired Yellow Taxi data from the New York City Taxicab and Limousine Commission (TLC). Performed Origin-Destination (OD) analysis on the data, to predict the extent of Carpooling. Designed a Carpool Algorithm by considering the pickup and drop locations, travel time and trip distance. The algorithm checks for the possible ways to pool a trip originating within the feasible region of another trip. Applied this algorithm in Manhattan area and successfully reduced the number of trips.

Handwritten Digit Recognition Sep 2016 - Dec 2016

Partitioned MNIST dataset into complementary subsets and Implemented Linear Regression Model and Neural Network Model. Trained these models using K-Fold Algorithm and tuned the model parameters to improve the performance. Tested the USPS dataset for accuracy to validate the models.

INTERNSHIPS

Amaron Batteries - Tirupathi, India Dec 2010 - Feb 2011

Intern in Quality Management and Supply Chain Management. Identified the defects in manufactured batteries and reduced the errors in further production. Worked on the measures to be taken in each step of Battery Manufacturing process to minimize the waste to deliver the products with the desired standards. Involved in Planning the Inventory and factors to be considered for maintaining Safety Inventory Techniques (Periodic Review).

CTM India Ltd., - Chennai, India May 2012 - Jul 2012

Intern in Production Designing and Risk Management. Developed mold designs for automobile industry including molds for interior & exterior parts, console, bumpers. Designed special cutting tools in CNC code in a team for Risk free production. Designed a model of Rear view Mirror in CAD/CAM. Analyzed the risk factors in designing the bumpers. Involved in developing risk free molding techniques in the procedure of Intricate split & Insert Molds.
