Responsible for the design and overall engineering for large industrial air-to-air heat exchangers and combustion chambers. Sales management of my own customer base.
ACP ENGINEERING SERVICES INC. Cedarburg, WI
Consulting engineering firm 2000- 2008
Individually managed company providing complex engineering systems and solutions, cost reduction planning, analysis, finite element analysis (FEA) modeling, air-to-air heat exchanger design catalytic/thermal oxidizer design.
ANGUIL ENVIRONMENTAL SYSTEM, INC. Milwaukee, WI 1993 - 2000
GLOBAL TECHNOLOGIES DIVISION
A global provider of pollution control equipment with annual sales of $16 million.
Senior Project Engineer 1999 - 2000
Responsible for project management and design of standard and custom VOC oxidizer systems. Created designs, developed project schedules and managed budgets for projects up to $1 million. Honored for company division highest sales $7.5 million.
●Lead team of engineers in design and development of low cost thermal catalytic system. Coordinated development of product specifications, developed initial design and assigned responsibilities to team members. Project improved product margins and was completed before established deadline.
●Accepted responsibility for design of company’s first high-loading chlorinated oxidizer. Implemented state-of-the-art design and problem-solved field installation issues at customer site. Design secured one of company’s single largest customers.
●Worked with sales department to apply VOC abatement requirements to design of customer systems. Successful coordination led to increased sales.
Project Engineer 1994 - 1999
Responsible for over 1000 design projects for all division product lines.
●Redesigned acid gas scrubber product line. Resulted in improved product quality and cost savings of 20%.
●Designed each project using mechanical layout, P&ID, mass balance, temperature /pressure profile and heat exchanger calculations. Resulted in standardized fan sizing, burner sizing and parts specifications.
●Functioned as key customer support technical resource including commissioning field VOC oxidizers and solving customer on-site technical issues.
●Designated to perform engineering sign-offs for QA reports on all division products.
●Functioned as sole division representative to HAZOP review meetings.
●Designed company’s first electric-fired catalytic oxidizer for soil remediation. Project success recognized by company management.
●Photographed all stages of equipment fabrication and on site installations. Photographs used as technical training tool and effective marketing tool.
Lead Designer 1993 - 1994
Responsible for product designs and for supervision of staff of three Detail Drafters.
●Hired to implement new system for design standards and procedures. Reviewed process flow, eliminated redundant processes and established new procedures. Promoted to Project Engineer in recognition of successful implementation.
