PROJECT EXPERIENCE HIGHLIGHTS

Project Management - Controlled the capital investment and business process, and oversaw the submission, execution, and completion of a manufacturing company’s capital project program with multiple manufacturing plants and management groups to execute a 325 project, $25M annual global capital budget. Projects included new plants, renovations, production & process equipment, distribution, laboratories, and research facilities. Pharmaceutical – Designed and managed laboratory expansions, facility renovations, equipment installation and electrical infrastructure projects for major pharmaceutical companies. Project manager and systems administrator for new, validated, facility Environmental Monitoring System. System based on Siemens Apogee software. Audit - Performed electrical audit of medium and high voltage operations to ensure establishment of appropriate work safety programs and compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations. Preformed hands-on documentation of 421,000 square feet manufacturing and warehouse electrical systems including system coordination and arc flash analysis. Critical Electrical Power - Provided electrical design for new raw water supply for two town treatment facilities. Design met new U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) and federal requirements for critical infrastructure security and continuity of operations in response to natural and human disturbance. Water Treatment Plant - Designed pump station and water treatment plant to increase water supply for county. Facilities were designed with a capacity of 50 mgd, with provisions for future expansion up to 100 mgd. The Lake Water Pumping Station included three 1,000-HP vertical turbine pumps (plus two future) with variable speed drives, and standby power system. The water treatment plant includes four 900-HP high service pumps (plus four future) with variable speed drives, backwash waste handling and treatment facilities, and standby power system. Sewage Treatment Plant - Provided electrical design from preliminary design through construction phases to upgrade the plant to handle a waste load allocation of 3.75-MGD design average, and updated and renovated other wastewater treatment facilities as identified by the client.

Equipment/Automation - Championed jurisdiction, development, and installation of automated system for assembly of plastic disposable medical devices. Equipment improved product output and quality and reduced 130 (86%) direct labor employees; annual savings $3.3 million. Supported 18% annual sales growth by introducing new products, processes, and technology as well as controlled and justified the division’s capital investment budget. Training - Implemented continuous improvement philosophy with Toyota Production methods in numerous plants.
