Partner with executive leadership to implement enterprise-wide strategies, policies, goals, objectives, and tactical plans to accelerate MetroHealth’s vision while aligning to its mission. Manage, direct and provide strategies and planning associated with business optimization. Lead project management professionals responsible for improving operational efficiency. Bridge the gap between clinical and support executives to identify, recommend, and negotiate solutions that address MetroHealth's challenges in a service-oriented manner. Justified solution configurations based on business cases containing return on investment (ROI) and cost-benefit analyses. • A multi-million-dollar effort to replace outdated anesthesia workstations and convert existing physiologic monitoring equipment to a new EPIC-based Anesthesia Information Management System (AIMS)

• A Real-Time Location System (AeroScout) that tracks durable medical equipment assets resulting in a significant decrease in the amount of time it takes for a clinician to respond to a patient's needs. Increased Clinical Engineering's regulatory compliance for equipment maintenance from 50% to 95%. Decreased the cost of renting equipment and inventory loss

• A project to update existing order sets based on new, evidence-based disease-specific order sets from ProVation. Developed disease-specific order set metrics and associated reports to measure utilization. Monitored utilization metrics and improved utilization over time

• Mergers and Acquisition (M&A) functions to incorporate former HealthSpan operations into The MetroHealth System. Working with executive leadership, led aspects of the effort (e.g. asset acquisition, management) to integrate and operationalize the HealthSpan locations including Cleveland Heights, Parma, and Brooklyn Heights

• Innovations in support of a billion-dollar “Campus Transformation” effort at MetroHealth’s Main Campus including a software development effort to enhance Building Information Management (BIM) using REVIT, Visual Studio, and Azure Web Services (Hosted Apps and SQL Server). The system integrated Construction Management, Facilitates Management, and Space Management systems

• Implemented an enterprise-wide process and policies that create a single point of service entry for all Construction, Facilities, and Space Management-related services. NOTE: Part of this work at NASA was an extension of the consulting work I was doing for Information Dynamics. It was two different contracts for the same NASA client. Responsible for the PACE IT Security Team. As part of the Prime Contractor leadership team, led the team in assessing Center-level IT security risks. Worked with NASA Glenn’s Chief Information Officer and staff to develop and monitor enterprise-level policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the Federal Information Systems Management Act and Privacy Act (FISMA) regulations that protect sensitive data and personal identity information (PII). When deficiencies were found, developed approaches to mitigate those risks and decrease the Center’s threat surface while increasing overall compliance. Worked across entire civil servant and contractor organizations, developed annual strategies, and created budgets to implement them. Engaged in a project to implement service-orientation via ITIL v3 best practices. Partnered with NASA Glenn’s Chief Enterprise Architect to develop the CIO’s portfolio of services so that their value could be “sold” to Directorate-level stakeholders.

NOTE: This work at NASA was extended on a contract that was held by DB Consulting. Worked directly with NASA’s Agency Chief Information Officer to develop an enterprise portfolio approach to Information Technology investment, implementation, operation, and governance based on the Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA), ITIL v3, The Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBoK), and other industry reference standards.
