To check the inhibitory effect of various new drugs against different isoforms of phosphodiesterase 4.

Perform enzyme (IC50) assays in 96 well plates as per SOPs, operate microplate spectrophotometer, troubleshoot assays, data collection and statistical analysis, report writing, database entry.

Protocol for working on Autodock 2.4 software (Team size:1), January-April 2010 Design step wise instructions to carryout docking of 2D1R (Luciferase) molecule using Autodock 4.2 software. Protocol is to be used by students in Advanced Computational Biology course.

Structure Based drug Designing (Team size:3), Final year 2007-08 Carry out docking studies for Curcumin and other commercially available drugs such as Imanitib, Gemacitabine, Flourocil and Quinazoline with Aurora A kinase 1MUO protein structure using Argus lab in pancreatic cancer studies. Curcumin with an E-value of -10.95 forms better drug than other commercially available drugs for pancreatic cancer.

Production of Biodiesel from soy bean oil (Team size:3), Pre-final year 2006-07 Design parameters and construct a working model for biodiesel production from soy bean oil involving processes of transesterification. We produced biodiesel of low calorific value that needed further purification.

Construction of a working Bioreactor (Team size:2), Pre-final year 2006-07 Design parameters to construct a stirred tank continuous flow reactor using standard values of dimensions for shaft, rotor, baffles and tubing, using 1.5mm thick steel strips. We constructed a fully functional bioreactor with probe attachments for pH, temperature and rpm control. RESEARCH AND LAB EXPERIENCE
