• Established standard methods for electrocatalytic water splitting

• Functionalized surfaces with nanoparticles and amphiphilic cobalt complexes for electrocatalytic water oxidation

• Reported the first application of Langmuir-Blodgett coatings as electrodes for water oxidation catalysis

• Determined the electronic nature of the active state of a water reduction catalyst, and studied the mechanistic aspects of catalyst deactivation

• Discovered a unique example of bimetallic cooperativity for electrocatalytic water reduction

• Worked on and lead cross-functional teams from a variety of departments and divisions such as chemical engineering, physics, physical chemistry, and inorganic chemistry leading to the publication of 8 research papers
